Walk Details

8:30am – Site Opens for Detroit! Stop by the displays featured at Walk MS:

• Registration Area: this is where you sign up if you haven’t registered online and claim your Walk MS T-Shirt Voucher if you have raised at least $100. Check out our QR codes – you will be able to register straight from your mobile device!
• Main Stage: at 9:45am the Walk MS program will begin.
• T-Shirt Area: This is the pick-up location for participants who have raised $100 or more.
• Food and Beverage Area: The Food and Beverage Area features healthy, breakfast-themed snacks plus water and other beverages.
• Hydration Station: water is available from the Hydration Station.
• Vendor Village: Visit a variety of vendors including our Walk MS sponsors.
• Team Village: A perk for teams achieving a fundraising milestone of $5,000 or more in 2022. Teams enjoy an exclusive team tent and connect with other top fundraising teams.
• Top Fundraiser Area: The Top Fundraiser Area is an exclusive perk for our Top 50, Gold, and Silver fundraisers. If you are a Top Fundraiser, stop by this area to pick up your credentials and other special treats.
• Living with MS Area: Visit the Living with MS Area to pick up your complimentary bandana and learn about Society resources.
• Food Area Sponsored by Meijer: The Food Area provides snacks and beverages to fuel you before and after the walk.

9:45am – Program begins

10:00am – Routes open to participants - Walk MS has 1- and 3-mile accessible routes available with volunteer support and Hydration Station along the way!

10:30am – Start Line Closes

Bearclaw Coffee Co. with be onsite at Walk MS Detroit for the second year in a row offering their fantastic coffee, tea, and other beverage selections. Please be sure to bring cash and/or card to purchase refreshments from coffee truck.

Walk MS has 1 and 3 mile accessible routes available.

There are multiple options for parking for Walk MS Detroit.

1. The River East Parking Garage located at the corner of Atwater Street and Rivard Street is free for all Walk MS participants and volunteers to park there. Vehicles will need to be removed by 1pm on Sunday, May 7th. Due to the Grand Prix construction, only the Rivard Street entrance/exit to the River East Garage can be used.
2. The parking lot on Atwater between Orleans Street and St. Aubin Street is available at $10 car. Please use St. Aubin Street to turn onto Atwater Street. All vehicles must be removed from lot by 1pm.
3. Drop Off: A drop off location is available in front of Outdoor Adventure Center on Orleans Street

It’s Go Time weeks are special weeks where you’ll be given a challenge to earn Walk MS points. Stay connected via email, social media and the webiste to see when the next It’s Go Time challenge will be!

If you raise $100, you’ll receive an exclusive T-shirt (distributed at the event; Walk MS: Your Way and virtual participants will receive their T-shirt via mail) to commemorate your hard work and dedication!  Check out more prizes, clubs and rewards.

Walk MS is a rain or shine event. In the event of severe weather – such as thunderstorms – you will be notified via email and social media of any cancellations or delays.
