Members Brittany Quiroz of "A Hot MS" and Kristen Spath are here to impact change! With 30+ years of duo performance and 20+ years as co-writers, this Mother-Daughter Duo is set out to empower, inspire and motivate with their original music. Kristen leads music composition and piano while Brittany's focus is on lyrics and vocals.

Since Brittany's diagnosis with multiple sclerosis in 2019, the two have shifted the focus of their music to empower those living with multiple sclerosis, chronic illness, disability and for those that need encouragement during life obstacles. Proving that God uses our struggles for good and purpose.

When purpose was revealed through Brittany's diagnosis, it was an answered prayer for the duo to reframe, reflect and rebuild- to not only validate the obstacles MS presents but to inspire those living with the disease to not view MS as the end all in our lives.

In addition to the Mother-Daugther duo's musical mission, Brittany "A Hot MS" works as a motivational speaker, MS Advocate, writer, visual artist and podcast host to her own show "All the Odds with A Hot MS".

8:28 made the clear choice to focus all proceeds of their first single "NEVER HAVE MY SOUL" to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. With a release date of March 10th, the single will honor MS Awareness Month.

The official music video will premier May 30th to honor World MS Day! The music video will reveal a celebratory surprise from the multiple sclerosis community!

These funds raised will benefit MS research, programs and services so that those affected by MS can live their best lives. We've decided to set an ambitious goal because there is no limit to the glory God can provide!

Nearly 1.1 to 2.5 million people live worldwide with multiple sclerosis. MS is an unpredictable and often disabling disease of the central nervous system with symptoms that vary from person to person and may include disabling fatigue, mobility challenges and more. While we've come a long way in understanding and treating MS, there is still so much more we can do!

"We wanted to write a song spoken directly to the disease itself. When I began the lyrics for this song, I had to think of MS as a person. I wanted to confront the disease head on. What would I say to MS if it was standing in front of me right now? Ultimately, I know that the disease can do whatever it wants in the physical, but soulfully; God and myself remain in control of that reality." says Brittany

Mother Kristen reflects that "When your child is diagnosed with any illness, as a Mom you automatically assume the disease onto yourself. What she goes through, I go through."

"When I start the composition of any song I begin in prayer. Asking God to guide me throughout its composition." says Kristen

"I've always known that my purpose was to write music. This was clear from a very young age. But throughout my years it seemed I was just writing to write. I wasn't writing for a bigger purpose. Over the last decade when I sit down to write, I feel God's presence. Even more so now, it is clear my composition is being led by God. To bring hope for those in need that are walking the same pathway through life as my Daughter."
