Saturday, September 21st: Bike MS: Country Challenge
Bike MS: Country Challenge is excited to be returning to Spruce Run Recreation Area (68 Van Syckles Road, Clinton, New Jersey). This venue offers ample parking, a scenic start and finish line, and access to some great, and often hilly, country roads.
- 6:30 AM: Check-in starts for participants that are riding the 50 mile route. Pick up your rider packet, grab a bite to eat, and get ready to ride.
- 7:00 AM: Check-in starts for participants that are riding the 25 mile route. Pick up your rider packet, grab a bite to eat, and get ready to ride.
- 7:30 AM: 50 mile riders depart.
- 8:00 AM: 25 mile riders depart.
- 9:30 AM: Finish Line Festivities! Celebrate the end of a great day at the finish line! Engage with your team and other riders over a complimentary meal and dessert, pick up your ride t-shirt, sit in the beer garden and enjoy the festivities.
- 3:00 PM: All routes are closed – any riders not in by this time will be taken in a SAG vehicle to the entrance of the park to ride the last quarter of a mile to the finish line.
- 4:00 PM: Bike MS: Country Challenge closes.
Route Info & Options
We’re excited to return to the routes created in 2023 (and based on rider feedback from Country Challenge 2022). These routes still feature some rolling hills, but also incorporate a nice, flat stretch along the Delaware River. We’ll be offering the following two route options in 2024 – a 25 and 50 mile route. Small changes to the route may be incorporated, but 2023’s routes are available at the following links:

Weather
We ride rain or shine. Please be prepared for rain, cold weather, or very sunny conditions. Weather can change overnight, so prepare for every scenario. Stay tuned to our site and your inbox for up-to-date announcements regarding inclement weather.
Pre-ride Kick-off
Join our Bike MS: Coast the Coast and Country Challenge Kickoff Event at Trek Bicycle Stirling on Wednesday, March 13th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Learn about this year's Coast the Coast and Country Challenge events, get some special discounts from Trek, and join other riders as we work to create a world free of MS.

We want to make sure you have all the information you need to make your ride day fantastic at Bike MS: Country Challenge! Around two weeks before the ride, we’ll hold an event logistics call. Learn about various aspects of the ride, including:

Raise money & win prizes with Bike MS! Our fundraising weeks are an opportunity to kick your fundraising into high gear & compete for top prizing. We have categories for both teams and individuals to compete. Save the dates and win big!
When:
- Fundraising Week #1: July 15 – July 21, 2024
- Fundraising Week #2: August 12 – August 18, 2024
Fundraising Weeks run Monday through Sunday at midnight. Each fundraising week will have winners in the following categories*:
Who: Winners for each fundraising week will include both the individual (team member or non-team member) and the team(s) with the most money raised online (total dollars) during that week.
Team winners will be determined based on the following two divisions:
- Team with 2-14 members
- Team with 15+ members
Prizes:
- Individual Prize: A Bike MS prize pack, a drink on us, and a hotel room near the ride for the night before the ride.
- Team Prize(s): Upgraded Team Tent at the start/finish line and an extra drink ticket for each team member (over 21), what a great way to celebrate the team’s accomplishments!
- Your Bike MS packet contains important items including your rider bib, event details and sponsor giveaways. In order to pick up your packet, you must meet the $250 fundraising minimum and have a completed waiver on file. If you registered online, you've already completed a waiver during the registration process. Please note: Riders under 18 will need a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
- All packets will be available for pick-up on the morning of the ride.
There is ample parking available for all participants at Spruce Run Recreation Area (68 Van Syckles Road, Clinton, New Jersey). Follow signs upon entering the park to the designated Bike MS parking area.
Bike MS is an extraordinary ride no matter where you are! Whether you have a flat tire or need a snack to help get you across the finish line, we’ve got you covered…
Each route includes fully-stocked rest stops every 10 to 12 miles with some of the best snacks and volunteers around. Relax, hydrate, use the restroom, re-apply sunscreen and enjoy the volunteers. Bike mechanics and support and gear (SAG) vehicles will also be on the route to assist you.
After the ride, we will have plenty of food at the finish line.
