April 25, 2016 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore: "You have Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis."

I remember that day.

But I decided what I have doesn't have to define who I am. I get to do that. And so I kept doing what I'd been doing for years, running. Now for a purpose a whole lot bigger than me.

My goal — to help people like me who have MS experience hope and encouragement and, ultimately, help the world be free of MS.

I’ve accepted an invitation to be a part of the Finish MS 2024 Berlin Marathon Team, to push myself physically and raise important funds that will change the world for everyone affected by multiple sclerosis.

Why Multiple Sclerosis?

Nearly 1 million people in the U.S. live with MS — it is an unpredictable and often disabling disease of the central nervous system with symptoms that vary from person to person and may include disabling fatigue, mobility challenges and more. While we’ve come a long way in understanding and treating MS, there’s still so much more to do.

I'm running to raise funds and inviting you to help me fuel this progress. The money you donate will continue the groundbreaking research and services the National MS Society provides, to ensure people affected by MS have the resources they need to live their best lives.

The Bottom Line:

I've set a big goal because I know that with support from people like you, I can get there.

Join me in ending MS forever and donate today.

Your financial support of the National MS Society is quite literally helping me and so many others live better.

Thank you so much.
