Step #1: Submit an application to be considered for one of our teams limited spots. Fundraising minimums are outlined below and dependent on participation type.
- $5,000 – New Runner
- $1,500 - Runner who secured their own spot & wants training perks
- $1,000 - Runner who secured their own spot (no training perks)
Step #2: Selected team members will be notified stating in March 2024.
Step #3: If selected, you will receive an email notification from the event lead! At that time, a private registration link will be shared with you to create your personal fundraising page and confirm your spot with the team. Additional registration instructions will be outlined at that time.
Team members must raise 50% of their fundraising minimum prior to August 15th. Once they reach this milestone, they will receive our organizations official registration link for the NYC Marathon where they will be responsible to pay the marathon entry fee of $295.
The fundraising deadline for this event is November 3, 2024.
Please Note:
- If selected, there will be a $100 registration fee to hold your spot on the team. This is a tax-deductible donation to the National MS Society and will count towards your total fundraising requirement.
- Once registered and an injury occurs or a runner chooses not to participate in the NYC Marathon as a charity runner for the National MS Society, they will still be held responsible for 75% of my required fundraising minimum by November 3, 2024.
- If a runner doesn’t reach the fundraising minimum requirement by the deadline, their credit card will automatically be charged the difference between the fundraising minimum and the amount they currently have raised.
