Food
Whether you have a flat tire or need a snack to help get you across the finish line, we’ve got you covered…
Each route includes fully stocked rest stops every 10 to 12 miles with some of the best snacks and volunteers around. Relax, hydrate, use the restroom, re-apply sunscreen and enjoy time with the volunteers along with support and gear (SAG) vehicles along the route to assist you.
After you cross the finish line, we will have plenty of local food information handy.
Ride Support
First aid supplies will be at every rest stop, Medical staff will located strategically throughout the route. Bike mechanics are stationed throughout the event at rest stops, start and overnight venues.
Support And Gear (SAG) vehicles will be on all routes to assist our riders. SAG vehicles give a lift to riders in need and can be identified by their brightly colored placards.
To signal a SAG vehicle:
- Move off the road and out of the path of other riders
- Dismount and stand near your bike
- Remove your helmet and give a “thumbs down” to the SAG vehicle. At peak hours, SAG vehicles may be full, so please be patient until the next SAG vehicle arrives.
Bosch-sponsored Ride Marshals will ride alongside our participants on all routes to assist with ride safety and to also provide support where needed.
Massage and support from physical therapists will be available to riders courtesy of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) on Day 1 at the SOMO Village Finish Line.
Luggage trucks will be parked at the Levis Plaza start line on Saturday morning. Riders will need to make sure they have a luggage tag on EACH piece of luggage that they place on to the truck.
Luggage trucks will arrive at the SOMO village and drop off luggage in the designated area. Riders will need to show a helmet tag or bib so volunteers can confirm ownership of the luggage.
Bike Shops
The support from local bike shops is crucial; bike mechanics will be located throughout the ride along with yearly support from shops in the area. For more Bike Shop information check out your Training and Prep page!
Ride photos will be posted on our Bike MS Flickr page 2-3 weeks after the ride. We will share the link here when photos are ready!
