Volunteers Make Hike MS Possible
Each year, a dedicated crew joins the Hike MS volunteer team. From marking routes and setting up registration to providing safety and support for hikers at the event, volunteers make Hike MS happen, and are the foundation of why Hike MS is so amazing.
Anyone Can Volunteer
There’s a place for you at Hike MS! Families, corporate groups, and individuals of all ages and abilities are welcome to volunteer. We are always looking for youth clubs, corporate and service-oriented community groups to lend a hand before, during and after our events.
What’s Included
All volunteers get a special T-shirt. After you register, your local Hike MS staff will work with you to find a volunteer position that’s best for you!
Volunteer Role
Volunteers help with all aspects of the event, including:
- Set up and/or tear down
- Registration
- Running stops
- Cheering at the finish line
- Route support
Some volunteer positions require specialized skills, a criminal and/or DMV background check and driving or heavy lifting. Contact us for more details.
Fundraising as a Volunteer
Volunteers are some of our most powerful fundraisers and have access to the same great fundraising tools as Hike MS participants. Simply let us know that you’re interested in fundraising when you register, and we’ll get you set up with everything you need for success!
