June 11: Rider Number Packet Mailing Deadline
In an effort for us to minimalize gatherings at the start line on Saturday, July 10, rider packets will be mailed out prior to those who reach the fundraising minimum of $500. To receive your rider number packet in the mail, we must have received your required waiver/safety pledge and minimum $500 donation. See Ride Info & Requirements section for ride requirements.

To ensure we are keeping everyone as safe as possible, and to assist in social distancing, all participants must sign up for a Venue Access Window.

Participants will ONLY be able to access the event site during their assigned Venue Access Window. Once your window has begun, you have 30 minutes to go through the Mandatory Check-In Area, use the restroom, grab some water and a snack, and hit the road. There will no mass release, cyclists may access the route at any time during their allotted 30-minute Venue Access Window.
Additional Reminders:
- All participants, volunteers and staff must complete a pre-event health screening questionnaire 24 hours prior to the event and will be required to show proof of completion at Mandatory Check-In.
- Only participants, staff and volunteers are allowed into the event site. Spectators will be not allowed on the ride.
Route Closes at 4:00 pm. We will make every effort to work with you to complete the ride.

The 2021 Bike MS: Cape Cod Getaway will be a one-day ride leaving from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts located Quincy, MA and finishing at Massachusetts Maritime Academy located Bourne, MA with one route option of 75 miles. View route map and cues.
We are holding Bike MS: Cape Cod Getaway as a one-day event this year. Riders will begin at the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts located Quincy, on the morning of Saturday, July 10th, with staggered start times. They will ride 75 miles taking in beautiful ocean views of Massachusetts’ South Shore as you ride from Quincy to Buzzards Bay through the charming, historic communities on this one-day cycling experience.
Cycling Challenges
Complete challenges and mileage goals as you train and take on the open road.
Your training rides bring you out into your community and past some scenic destinations and we want to see them too!
Snap a selfie at a designated landmark and share it with your fellow MS cyclists using our submission form. Complete all 4 challenges by your event day and get a Bike MS-branded tire tool and be entered into a grand prize drawing for one of two Garmin Edge 130s. Flats happen—now you’ll be prepared!

Safety Clinic

Your local Bike MS staff and amazing guest speakers will share information about staying safe at Bike MS. Topics will include cycling safety and COVID-19 protocols, ride support, bike inspections, suggested packing list, and more.

Bike MS is an extraordinary ride no matter where you are! Whether you have a flat tire or need a snack to help get you across the finish line, we’ve you covered…
The Rest Stops every 10 to 12 miles will be fully stocked with some of the best snacks and volunteers around. Hydrate, use the restroom, re-apply sunscreen and enjoy the volunteers. Bike mechanics and support and gear (SAG) vehicles will also be on the route to assist you.
- Start Area: Water, Gatorade, Protein Bars and Fruit. There will be no Coffee or Bagels at the Start.
- Rest Stops: Individual bottles of water & gatorade, soda, snacks and fruit
- Lunch Stop: Individual bottles of water & gatorade, soda, snacks and boxed lunch. Our friend from Promotor in a Box is back to entertain you at your favorite Lunch Stop!
- Finish Area: Individual bottles of water & soda, snacks and boxed food. We will have plenty of recycle bins for all the individual bottles of hydration.
UPDATE: We will now have a luggage truck to transport small bags only from the start to the finish line. You will drop your small bag off at the start area under the "luggage flag" where you will attach a luggage tag with your rider number.
Once you arrive at the finish, your bag will be under the luggage flag, and there will be changing areas available next to the festival area. Please note there is NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED in any of the bags and the bags must be a gym size bag or smaller.
We will be offering a safe plan of transportation back to Quincy via Bus for all Riders. Trucks will be transporting Bikes back to the Start area. If you choose not to take the Bus option, we will have an identified parking lot for Riders to be picked up post Ride.
The Bus transportation will start at 12:30 PM. The last Bus from MMA will be at 5:00 PM.
Bike Trucks will transport Bikes back to the Start Area ~ Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts where staff and volunteers will greet and assist you retrieving your bikes. Bikes that have not been picked up by 6:00 PM will be transported to MacDonald Moving Services, Inc.
