I’m challenging my mind and body to move toward a world free of MS.
This year will mark my 23rd at the MS Challenge Walk - a 3-day, 50-mile endurance event held at Cape Cod, because I believe we can make a difference together. Each step I take (and dollar I raise) brings us closer to our goal — a world free of MS.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information between the brain and body. MS is different for everyone, which makes it more challenging to solve.
As always, I take on this challenge for my sister Anne, who has been courageously battling MS for the past 25 years. Her determination and fighting spirit have always been an inspiration to me and I am very proud to walk on her behalf.
This year, I also walk in memory of another inspiration in my life, my father, Joe Keohane, who passed away on June 7th. His love and belief in service and giving back to his community will live on in all our hearts.
Over the years, Challenge Walk MS participants and volunteers have raised more than $88 million to reshape what it means to live with MS. Through their efforts, the National MS Society has paved the way for every effective MS treatment available today, including the first therapies for primary progressive and pediatric MS.
I want to keep the momentum going. I’ve set an ambitious goal and I know we can reach it with your support.
Will you donate today to help us end MS forever?
