An Incredible Journey
In 2009, Robert Glimcher discovered the Keystone Country Ride by joining team Lou’s Crew and took on the challenge to fundraise on behalf of people living with MS. Fourteen years later and over $2 million raised, Robb wants to challenge YOU to do something about MS now, too! In support of new riders and with a goal of growing the total number of riders on this ride, the Glimcher Challenge was born.
Robert Glimcher began his career in the real estate development business in 1977. In 1984, Mr. Glimcher moved to Pittsburgh and has since started Glimcher Group Incorporated. Over the years, he has been involved in many charitable and civic organizations. Through an invitation by a friend, Mr. Glimcher decided to try a Bike MS event.
Mr. Glimcher started riding in Bike MS as part of team Lou’s Crew in 2009. In his first year, he raised $500. As an avid cyclist, he found the Keystone Country Ride to be the perfect combination of a challenging ride through Pennsylvania’s scenic countryside and an incredible team event with unparalleled camaraderie. He also began to learn about people in his life that are living with multiple sclerosis and the impact the disease has had on their lives and families. He loved his experience and set out to raise even more support for this great event.
Fast forward to 2025, Mr. Glimcher has leveraged his local and global connections to raise over $2.2 million for Bike MS! To honor him and his incredible commitment to the ride and the organization, the event took his name in 2017 and become the Glimcher Keystone Country Ride. Robb is committed to increasing awareness of multiple sclerosis and Bike MS and wants others to experience the incredible event that is the Glimcher Keystone Country Ride.
