Bike MS: ACC Texas MS 150 2025

Donate

I'm cycling toward a world free of MS.

I started riding the Bike MS-150 in 2002.  I started when my daughter had been injured running cross country, and her doctor said she couldn't run but she could ride a bike.  So she signed up for the MS-150 and since she was only 15 years old, I decided I had to ride with her (and keep her safe). Ha ha ha. She finished thirty minutes before I did.

Well, I got over being upset that my daughter left me in the dust, and I became hooked supporting the MS Society, and now have ridden every Texas MS-150 ride since 2002. Then years ago, I decided to become a Ride Marshal and help cyclists with dehydration issue, bike issues, especially flat tires.  Last year, the MS Society named me Ride Marshal of the Year. Yes, that means I have fixed 100s of flat tires.

When I sold our business, my wife and I bought Ready2Roll Cycling, the training series that 1000s of riders have depended upon for over 30 years to get in shape for the Texas MS-150.

While I am now in my 70th year, I am still riding.  I have friends who have MS and of course,  I ride for them, but also I ride because I love cycling, and I love how it helps people including myself.  Cycling is an activity that trains the body and soul  and a beautiful way to enjoy the outdoors.

On the other hand, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a devastating, unpredictable disease that no one should face alone. Every mile we pedal and every dollar we raise brings us closer to a world free of MS. I’m going the distance with my training to end MS, and I hope I can count on your support as I prepare for this year's ride. I’ve set an ambitious goal of raising $15,000.00  because I know that with support from people like you, I can get there.

The Texas MS-150 is the largest ride of its kind in the country, and while we don't have the 12,000 riders we had a decade ago, we collectively raise over $10 million. Which brings me back to YOU. YOU are the ones that make the difference in the lives of those with MS. Any donation amount can make that difference.

Join me on this journey and make a difference today. Donate and help me reach my goal.
