I'm cycling because I still can.
I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2006 and am blessed to find myself, now 18 years later, still able to ride my bike. Many with MS haven’t been as lucky.
It’s been a long road, but I’ve come to view my diagnosis as a blessing. Sure, I wish I wasn’t so tired, especially in the heat. Sure, I wish my right foot didn’t lose feeling or feel heavy. But in the words of Megan, my friend and fellow MS warrior, “Everyone has something. It’s how you choose to live with that something that makes you who you are.” I choose happiness and enthusiasm!
That’s the vibe at BikeMS Arizona: happy and fun and lots of enthusiasm. I’d love for you to join my team, or you can support me by making a donation. Both will make a difference for people living with MS.
Money raised through Bike MS fuels cutting-edge MS research and critical services to ensure people affected by MS have the resources they need to live their best lives. The National MS Society is dedicated to stopping MS in its tracks, restoring what’s been lost and ending this disease forever.
