Packet Pick Up Requirements & Details
What’s in my rider packet? Your Bike MS packet contains many important items including your bib number, bike tags, wristband with rider assistance phone number, safety pins, and twist ties. If you are a Top Club, Club K, I Ride With MS, or Rookie, your packet may contain an extra wristband or sticker.
How do I receive my packet? Pick up at the above noted time and location. You must meet the $100 fundraising minimum.
Why the $100 fundraising minimum? The National MS Society makes a concerted effort to utilize each dollar raised to help people living with multiple sclerosis. To continue making an impact on the lives of those living with MS through our fundraising efforts, the National MS Society requires all registered participants to have met the $100 minimum fundraising requirement prior to picking up their packet.
Can I make a donation at packet pick up? Yes, you can make a donation at packet pick up. Cash, check or card payments are accepted.
How do I sign the waiver? When you register online, the waiver is part of the registration process. Minors and anyone registering the day of the event must complete a paper or electronic copy of the waiver.
Can someone pick up my packet for me? Yes. A team member, team captain, or family member can pick up your packet on your behalf – as long as you’ve met the $100 fundraising minimum and have a completed waiver.
I’m not able to attend and ride. Can I give my packet to someone else? All cyclists are assigned a rider number to ensure Bike MS knows who you are during ride weekend in the event of an emergency and for logistical purposes. For your safety and the safety of others, DO NOT provide your assigned rider number (bib) to a fellow participant for use ride weekend. Each and every cyclist riding in Bike MS: Twin Cities Ride must be individually registered with contact information and a waiver on file. Please do not use a previous year’s number or another Bike MS ride number.
Do I get a Bike MS T-shirt? Your Bike MS t-shirt is earned based on the $100 fundraising minimum. Your t-shirt can be picked up at the same time as your packet at the ride. If you prefer to not have a t-shirt, you are not required to pick one up.

I have a matching donation, but it hasn’t shown on my page yet. Matching donations are a great way to meet the fundraising minimum and aim for Top Fundraiser level! Relax, hydrate, use the restroom, re-apply sunscreen and enjoy time with the volunteers. Along the route you will be joined by our support and gear (SAG) vehicles who will be on there to assist you.
After you cross the finish line, we will have plenty of local food available.

Safety Team
- Support and Gear (SAG) Vehicles give a lift to riders in need and can be identified by signs that state ‘MS Support Vehicle’.
- Ride Marshals will be traveling among riders to ensure that all rules of the road are being obeyed and that cyclists are riding in a safe manner.
- Radio communication (hams) are available at all rest stops and will be roaming the route.
- Motorcycle Marshals provide motorcycle escort support along the route to troubleshoot problems and ensure rider safety. When needed, they respond to emergencies and traffic situations.

Partner bike shops provide mechanics, support, and minor repairs along the route. Learn more and connect with our local Bike Shop Partners here. We highly recommend you schedule a tune-up for your bike before heading to the ride.
Mechanics
Mechanics from our partner bike shops will be at the start line, as well as along the route at every rest stop. Repairs are provided free of charge, but participants are responsible for the cost of any parts.
Rentals
Bike MS does not coordinate any Bike Rentals, but some of our Bike Shop Partners may have them available. If you’re coming from afar, you may also consider asking your local shop about options to transport your bike – some can do so at quite reasonable prices.
Charging Stations
Please bring any e-bikes fully charged. At this time, electricity is not available at rest stops or on the route.
We know you have some additional questions, and this will be the place where we can answer them! More Know Before You Go information will be coming soon, so check back often so you don’t miss anything.
