Support Along the Route
- Route Markings We make every effort to ensure you won't get lost. Routes will be clearly marked with directional signs, including on straightaways, so you will know you're riding in the right direction.
- Route Closing Bike MS routes will close at the following times:
- All Saturday routes close at 4:30 PM
- All Sunday routes close at 1:00 PM
We will make every effort to work with you to complete the ride. All cyclists on the road after closing time must take a SAG to the finish line.
- SAG Vehicles Just can't push another pedal, or just need a ride to the next stop? We have trucks & SUVs on the route and at rest stops that can pick you and your bike up. Call the number on your wristband and look for the first SAG to come your way. Give the thumbs-down signal if you want to be picked up and you and your bike will be transported.
NOTE: The trip to the finish line is not always direct. Be patient as we pick up other cyclists in need. If you only want a ride to the next rest stop, let the driver know. Always remember to thank your driver, who is volunteering his or her time for the weekend to support you.
- Personal SAG Vehicles PROHIBITED Personal SAG vehicles are not permitted on the route. Please understand our need to cut down on vehicular traffic for YOUR SAFETY.
Bicycle tagalongs, trailers and carriers are not allowed on the route.
- Mechanical Support Please get your bike inspected before ride weekend to identify major issues. Sponsoring Bike Shops will provide minor repairs at the Start Line, on the road and at rest stops ride weekend.
- Mechanical Problems: If you encounter a mechanical problem while riding and need assistance, move completely off the road, and call the number on your wristband for assistance.

Bike MS is an extraordinary ride no matter where you are! Whether you have a flat tire or need a snack to help get you across the finish line, we’ve got you covered…
Each route includes fully-stocked rest stops every 10 to 12 miles with some of the best snacks and volunteers around. Relax, hydrate, use the restroom, re-apply sunscreen and enjoy the volunteers. Bike mechanics and support and gear (SAG) vehicles will also be on the route to assist you.
After the ride, we will have plenty of food at the finish line.
Ride photos will be posted on our Bike MS Flickr page 2-3 weeks after the ride. We will share the link here when photos are ready!
