You won’t want to miss this!
Sam Rubin may have proudly worn a KTLA team jersey, but he always believed that we were all on one team.
On May 10, 2023, we lost one of the true legends of Bike MS Bay to Bay. For nearly 30 years, Sam Rubin rode, raised funds, promoted, inspired, and deeply cared about our ride and the people with MS that it helped.
Fewer people have had a greater impact on this incredible event. Sam used his celebrity for good. He attracted and connected our ride with multiple sponsors; featured “I Ride with MS” participants and promoted Bay to Bay on-air at KTLA to grow our ride and raise more funding. He backed special efforts to help people with MS complete the ride, and he was our goodwill ambassador everywhere he went and for every mile he rode right next to you.
Starting out with “What Was I Thinking?!?” as his mantra, he advanced our ride and the MS mission to millions in the KTLA viewing universe.
This year’s ride is for Sam. Please join us in raising funds in Sam’s honor and riding with him in spirit. Send pictures and stories of your experiences with Sam (and anything else you’d like to send) to Tim.Pirkey@nmss.org as we honor one of the most passionate Bike MS Bay to Bay team member ever!!
