Day 1: Saturday, October 7
35-mile route – lunch express
Riders that would like to complete the 35 mile lunch express route start at Rolling Oaks Mall and ride to lunch at Vogel Elementary School in Seguin.
Shuttle/bike transport times from Vogel Elementary School to Torrey Park in New Braunfels:
11 am and 1 pm
- Lunch express shuttle/bike transport:
- Check- in at the lunch express tent located near the SAG area.
- Option 1 – shuttle/bike transport to Torrey Park, then ride to the finish line.
- At the check-in tent, let volunteers know you would like to ride to the finish.
- At Torrey Park, bikes will be unloaded for those riders that noted they would like to ride across the finish line.
- Option 2 – shuttle/bike transport to Torrey Park, then taken to Comal County Fairgrounds.
- Remain on the shuttle bus/bike remains on bike transport truck.
- Riders remaining on the shuttle will be taken to Comal County Fairgrounds and remaining bikes will be taken to the bike compound area.

- UPDATE: To participate in the Century Route, you must be at the Century turn off location at Gruene Road and Ervendberg Avenue by 3:00 pm. Otherwise, you will be directed to the Comal County Fairgrounds Finish Line.

Bike MS 2022 Awards and 2023 Kick-Off Celebration
Join us for the Bike MS 2022 Awards and 2023 Kick-Off Celebration on April 1 at Magnolia Pancake Haus Halle, 10333 Huebner Rd, San Antonio, TX 78240. Join us as we take time to celebrate the awesome successes from 2022 and kick off 2023. The event will take place from 11 am – 1 pm. RSVPs are required for attendance by March 24.
Your Bike MS packet contains important items including your rider bib, event details and sponsor giveaways. In order to pick up your packet, you must meet the $300 fundraising minimum and have a completed waiver on file. If you registered online, you've already completed a waiver during the registration process. Please note: Riders under 18 will need a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
Packet Pick-Ups are coming your way!
The Bike MS Valero Ride to the River, presented by H-E-B will host various opportunities for you to pick up your rider packet before ride weekend. Each packet pick up will enable riders to drop off funds and pick up the following:
- Rider number (Bib, helmet tags, luggage tags, etc.)
- Participant T-Shirts and sponsor goody bag
- Updated Event Weekend Information
- Top Fundraiser Jersey – when you reach $1,000 in fundraising. This year’s theme, Rock’n Roll

All participants who fundraise $300 or more are eligible to pick up their rider packet. Team captains and teammates can pick up your packet, provided you have surpassed the $300 fundraising minimum.

- The first shuttle departs at noon and the second shuttle departs at 4 pm. If you are utilizing this shuttle option, be sure to load your bike into the designated bike truck as soon as you arrive at the finish line.

Plenty of free parking is available for riders and spectators at our start and finish lines each day. Please park in designated Bike MS parking areas.

Bike MS is an extraordinary ride no matter where you are! Whether you have a flat tire or need a snack to help get you across the finish line, we’ve got you covered…
Each route includes fully-stocked rest stops every 10 to 12 miles with some of the best snacks and volunteers around. Relax, hydrate, use the restroom, re-apply sunscreen and enjoy the volunteers. Bike mechanics and support and gear (SAG) vehicles will also be on the route to assist you.
After the ride, we will have plenty of food at the finish line.

This award is given to the team who struts their stuff on the Bike MS runway and wins the applause and votes of the judges. This team looks good, whether its jerseys, shorts, socks, costumes or volunteer T-shirts. All-in-all, this team has the whole package.
Most Spirited Team
This team demonstrates excitement, dedication and fundraising during training series, at pre-events and on the weekend of the ride.
Pump It Up Award
This team has the most swag, loudest cheer support and biggest spirit at the start line AND the Comal County Fair Grounds.

The team with the best decorations and fun atmosphere at the Comal County Fairgrounds Team Tent Village Area. This year our theme is Rock ‘N Roll.
Best Jersey Promoting the Mission
This jersey makes it clear: This team is dedicated to helping individuals living with MS.
First Gear Team Award
This award will go to the team with the most first-time riders.
Returning Pack Awards
This award will go to the team with the most returning riders from the prior year Bike MS.
Safety Award (s) New
This team(s) sets the best safety example. They have at least 1 Ride Marshal per 50 riders on their team. They have safety debriefs at their training rides. They follow the rules of the road event weekend and pre-event they have the highest number of riders participating in the safety quiz.

Rookie Team of the Year
This team gets it from day one: Fun, organized, creates awareness about MS and they are great at fundraising. They fuel the movement for a world free of MS.
Leader of the Pack Awards
This team demonstrates loyalty by participating for at least 5 years, creating awareness about Bikes MS/MS and through outstanding team fundraising.
Champion Cup
Yearly traveling trophy given to a team for its dedication to the goals of the National MS Society and its mission. This team goes above and beyond from day 1. They promote the mission of the Society, they create awareness across the cycling community and they go above and beyond to support their teammates. They are known as leaders in the MS movement to other teams at Bike MS.

MS Ambassadors are volunteers that represent the National MS Society in a variety of ways and may be people living with MS, family or friends, healthcare professionals, committee members…anyone interested in joining the movement to create a world free of MS.
Their primary purpose is to assist in increasing public awareness of both MS and the MS Society and to encourage others to connect and engage. An MS Ambassador can attend your team meetings in an effort to increase mission connection and encourage fundraising!

The Bike MS Champions program, sponsored locally by the Bike MS: Ride to the River Title Sponsor Valero aims to communicate "why we ride" by highlighting the many different faces of MS and the different ways our organization meets the needs of individuals living with MS through the generous support of Bike MS participants and fundraisers!
Cyclists will have the opportunity to connect with featured Bike MS Champions through their personal stories, social media postings, local engagement opportunities, and the symbolic cooling towels.

Wall of Honor
The Wall of Honor is a staple at the Bike MS: Valero Ride to the River. The Wall of Honor links all those that participate back to the mission and reminds us that the Bike MS: Valero Ride to the River is more than just a ride. You can visit, contribute, and be inspired by the Wall of Honor on event weekend!
