Friday, September 23^rd  

4:30pm-6:30pm - Check in/ packet pick up will be inside the Harvey Kern Pavilion.  

Saturday, September 24^th: Bavarian Breakaway 2022 Day 1!

6:30-8:00am – Breakfast

7am - Check in and registration opens inside the Harvey Kern Pavilion.

7:20am – Opening Ceremonies

7:30am - Route opens and we ask that you start no later than 8am.

• For safety reasons, any rider starting after 8am will be taken to the first rest stop on the route to catch up with all the other cyclists.

10am-1pm – Lunch available on route and at finish line

10am- 5pm – Pick up your t-shirt and jersey (if you raised $1,000+) inside the pavilion after you ride. 

12pm - Opening to century route closes.

• If you wish to do the century route you must be to the opening by 12pm.

5pm - Route closes. We will make every effort to work with you to complete the ride.

6pm - Dinner at Harvey Kern Pavilion.

• If you have any friends and family members that are not participating or volunteering but would like to attend, tickets are available for $10 and may be purchased at the dinner.

6:30pm - The Gear Up Celebration will begin. The program will be a short, fun, and informative with special recognition given to Team Captains, Veteran Riders, Top Fundraisers and Volunteers. It is something you will not want to miss.

 

Sunday, September 25^th: Bavarian Breakaway 2022 Day 2!

6:30-8:00am – Breakfast

7am - Check in and registration opens inside the Harvey Kern Pavilion.

• If you checked in on Friday night or Saturday morning you do not have to check in on Sunday.

7:30am - Route opens and we ask that you start no later than 8am.

• For safety reasons, any rider starting after 8am will be taken to the first rest stop on the route to catch up with all the other cyclists.

10am - Opening to century route closes

• If you wish to do the century route you must be to the opening by 10am.

10am-1pm – Lunch available on route

5pm - Route closes. We will make every effort to work with you to complete the ride.

When you complete your ride there will be lunch provided at the finish line by Frankenmuth Brewery. 

With a variety of route options, you can choose the challenge that’s right for you. 

Bike MS: Bavarian Breakaway 2022 will feature route options of 30, 50, 75, and 100 miles each day. All routes will start and finish at the Harvey Kern Pavilion in Heritage Park. This ride is fully supported with rest stops every 10-15 miles, SAG support and bike mechanics available for repair assistance.

Fundraising Weeks

Fundraising Weeks run Monday through Sunday at midnight. Each fundraising week will have winners in the following categories*: 

• Team with 4-14 members
• Team with 15+ members
• Individual rider (team member or non-team member) 

*based on the highest amount of online fundraising (total dollars raised) this week

Rookie Rider Meeting

Calling all first year Bike MS participants! Join us for a Rookie Rider meeting on August 2^nd! Learn the ins and outs of Bike MS, what you need to know to be prepared for ride weekend and connect with other cyclists.

Safety Meeting

Being prepared is critical to having a safe, fun experience at Bike MS. Join us on September 14^th for a call covering safety and event-day experience at Bike MS: Bavarian Breakaway and take the chance to ask any questions you might have.

Bike MS is an extraordinary ride no matter where you are! Whether you have a flat tire or need a snack to help get you across the finish line, we’ve got you covered…  

Each route includes fully-stocked rest stops every 10 to 12 miles with some of the best snacks and volunteers around. Relax, hydrate, use the restroom, re-apply sunscreen and enjoy the volunteers. Bike mechanics and support and gear (SAG) vehicles will also be on the route to assist you.  

After the ride, we will have plenty of food at the finish line.
